LINZI LYNN        Contemporary Paintings of Animals and People

Artist

Linzi  Lynn knew she was going to be an artist. She just thought it was going to be a performing artist.  After all, her parents sent her to theatrical school when she demonstrated a talent for finding drama in the everyday.  Since 1973 the drama has played out in her paintings. She uses her theater experience whenever she searches for an emotion on the face of an animal or person that is her subject.  She says it's all theatrical, visual and emotional.  It's entertainment.

Linzi was commissioned in 1993 by the National Rural Letter Carriers for a portrait drawing of Benjamin Franklin, of all things.  The subtle realism that can come from her pencil is a surprise when viewing her recent vivid, expressionistic paintings.  But capturing a special moment in someone's life is what Linzi most enjoys.  She has done this in numerous commissions for private clients and welcomes additional commissions.

A native of London, Linzi came to the United States in 1992.  After living in Maryland for a number of years, she now calls Redondo Beach, California home.
